SAILING SKILLS
When you step aboard the Easy Wind - even for a short trip - you will have a chance to take part in steering and setting the sails. The wind itself is invisible and silent. But to sail, you must have a keen awareness of what the wind is doing. We will teach you ways to build this awareness - we will help make the wind visible. These are basic sailing skills; you learn these skills by doing them.

There are some terms and a few lessons in physics and geometry that can help you understand what you will be doing when you take the wheel of the Easy Wind for the very first time and head for open water. You can learn these basics by reading through the lessons above. We recommend learing Lessons A-I first in order to familiarize yourself with your tools and instruments before moving on to Lessons 1-9 of the on-the-water skills. As you work through each item, you will already be well on your way to understanding some of the principles and tools of sailing.
